For public buildings such as schools, we strongly endorse our fully compliant ramp, as it boasts supplementary safety elements like infill handrails, vivid yellow treads, and a minimum width of 1500mm, ensuring the highest level of safety.

  • 1200mm – The minimum width for ‘Communal’ residential usage. Approved Document M1 & the British Standards BS 8300-1:2018.
  • 1500mm – The minimum width for ramps for ‘buildings Other Than Dwellings’. Approved Document M2 & the British Standards BS 8300-1:2018

WIDTH & GRADIENT FOR A COMPLIANT DWELLING RAMP:

A dwelling ramp purchased via the council must have a gradient no less than 1:12 (4.7 degrees) and minimum width of 900mm, as stated in Documents M and K of the Building Regulations.

Trombone Ends

These components are attached to the ends of a Rapid Ramp to prevent any snagging of clothing.

Telescopic Legs

Thanks to their adjustable design, the legs are customisable to suit various threshold heights.

Standard Handrail

Designed to provide stability and support.

These are coated with thermosetting powder to provide a non-conductive, non-slip and scratch resistant surface.

Standard Colour: Black

Our ramps undergo a black powder coating process, resulting in a robust finish that surpasses traditional paint in durability.
